On January 13, 2021, Erin Deck of the Raleigh Regional Office conducted a site inspection at the
subject facility. The facility is located at 7691 NC 39 Highway North, Henderson. Below is a
list of findings developed from the inspection:
• Certificate of Coverage (COC) NCG510382 was issued to James H Roberson Inc. to
operate a groundwater remediation system for petroleum contaminated groundwater or
similar waste streams that will discharge treated water from the facility to an unnamed
tributary to Flat Creek, a class B stream located in the Roanoke River Basin.
• Per our records, the groundwater remediation system was last operated in 2004, and the
store was closed in 2008.
• Our records indicate that the Permit annual fee is overdue. Please see the invoice
attached and contact the Compliance Fee coordinated at 919-707-3698 with any
questions.
