watershed consists of predominantly residential developments and undeveloped forested land Roughly 25% of the watershed is occupied by impervious streets open land/agricultural land and open waters floodprone area wdl also serve as a sediment sink to help remove the suspended sediments from the stream channel and allow them to deposit on the floodprone bench area In stream habitat and bedform diversity wdl be improved through the addition of a riffle pool sequence and in stream structures Woody structures such as log vanes and log toe protection will be used to further enhance m stream habitat Rock structures such as Rock Vanes and Constructed Riffles wdl be added to mamtam grade improve local slopes(riffles) improve bedform diversity(riffles/pools) improve habitat and protect stream banks The stream banks will be graded to a stable slope 3 1 to 4 1 and planted with native herbaceous and woody plantmgs The ad�acent riparian buffer wdl be treated for invasive species such as Chinese Privett and Kudzu through mechanical removal herbicides and manual removal The buffer wdl also be replanted where stream restoration activities occur Impacts to the existing buffer wdl be mirnmized by ad�usting the limits of grading and/or flagging trees to be saved m the field Every effort wdl be taken to mirnmize the impact to the large(>8 )woody vegetation The stream bed elevation
