This letter has been sent in response to your Request for More Information letter dated
October 17 2011 regarding the proposed Desert Wind Pro�ect in Perquimans and
Pasquotank Counties North Carolina Specifically in that letter you requested additional
information pertaining to the proposed mitigation to offset unavoidable wetland impacts that
would result from the Pro�ect As presented in the Permit Appiication submitted to the
Division of Water Quality(DWQ)on August 19 2011 we are proposing to mitigate wetland
impacts through the acquisition of mitigation credits/acres from the Great Dismal Swamp
Restoration Bank—Timberlake Farm Site The attached letter provides documentation of
available credits at the Timberlake Site to offset the proposed impacts
It is our understandmg based on the discussions that we had durmg our conference call on
October 25 2011 (which also included Beth Reed/Kimley Horn) that providing this
documentation wdl fulfill the outstanding data needs required for you to continue your review
