Year 2 Monitoring Report
Craven County
DWQ #10-0857
The Division of Water Quality has reviewed the Year 2 Monitoring Report for the above-
referenced site.
Dee Freeman
Secretary
The site appears to be continue to do fairly well after two growing seasons. Overall stem density
has increased from 860 stems per acre to 870 stems per acre. Table 3 shows increases in stems
in plots 1, 2, 7, 9, 11, and 12. The table caption is "Summary of Planted Stem Vegetation Plot
Results".
Please provide any information you have regarding any supplemental planting that may have
been done. If no planting was done, please clarify the increase in stem densities. Does the table
also include volunteer stems?
No action, other than clarification as described above, is recommended at this time, and the site
to date appears to be on a trajectory toward success..
Please feel free to contact me (919) 715-4631 if you have any questions
our comments.
