NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR
THE PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS TO
MIDWAY ROAD (STATE ROAD 1500) AND GALLOWAY ROAD (S.R. 1401) FROM
U.S. 17 BYPASS TO N.C. 211
TIP Project No. R-3434 Brunswick County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold a Citizens
Informational Workshop on Monday, October 24, 2011 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the
Brunswick County Government Complex - David R. Sandifer Administration Building -
Council Chambers, located at 30 Government Center Drive, NE, Bolivia.
Interested individuals may attend this informal workshop any time during the
between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. NCDOT representatives will display maps and be available to
answer questions and receive comments. Please note that there will not be a formal
presentation.
NCDOT proposes to improve Midway and Galloway Roads from the U.S. 17
Bypass to N.C. 211. This will include the realignment of the intersections of both Midway
and Galloway Roads with U.S. 17 Business into one common intersection. The purpose of
the project is to: 1) provide increased traffic-carrying capacity, 2) improve safety
conditions, and 3) perform system improvements along the project limits on Midway Road
(S.R. 1500) and Galloway Road (S.R. 1401) in Brunswick County.
