Per Table 8-1 in the BMP Manual, a level spreader-engineered filter strip should be designed to handle the 10-year storm discharge up to 10 cfs. Therefore, the level spreader should be enlarged to a minimum of 79 feet in length so that it will be capable of treating the peak discharge from the wet detention pond during the 10-year storm (7.9 cfs).
