Reference the Department of the Army (DA) permit issued on October 30, 2003, to
authorize the discharge of dredged and fill material into the waters of United States, for
construction of Sections AB and AC of the Greensboro Western Urban Loop (TIP No. U-2524
AB & AC), impacting Long Branch, Reddicks Creek and its unnamed tributaries, unnamed
tributaries of Bull Run, South Buffalo Creek, and Hickory Creek, and adjacent wetlands, from I-
85 to I-40, on the southwest side of Greensboro, in Guilford County, North Carolina. Reference
also your August 4, 2006, letter requesting a one year permit extension. No other changes have
been proposed to the project.
We have completed our evaluation of your request and your permit is hereby extended until
December 31, 2007. All other conditions of the permit remain effective. If the permitted work is not
completed on or before the date herein specified, the authorization, if not previously revoked or
specifically further extended, will cease and become null and void. If additional time is required to
complete the project, you should contact this office with a request for an additional time extension.
