Dear Mr. Tedder:
This is to advise that we have coordinated with our own Department of Transportation personnel, our
CEI personnel and the contractor for this project, to adhere to those requirements as set forth in your
letter dated February y, 2005. All of the recommendations listed in this letter wiii be implemented
immediately, except for the frequency of the inspections.
In order to maintain closer communication among all the project personnel as it relates to permit
conditions, and sedimentation and erosion control measures, it was determined that eve should
increase our inspections to a daily inspection, in lieu of twice a week, as stated in your letter. I trust
that this is satisfactory with you.
I regret that this unfortunate incident occurred, and you can be assured that we will take whatever
action is required to prevent this from happening again.
I also appreciate the open communication that has occurred during this situation among the Division
of Water Quality, the Roadside Environmental Unit and the Division Seven Staff.
I look forward to continuing this open communication onnot onlythisproject, but~aiso future
projects, in this Division.
