Dear Mr. Parton:
An unannounced visit was made to Broad River Chip Mill
in'Union Mills on July 20, 1999 The purpose of this visit
was to check stromwater control and pollutant containment
areas. During the visit Mill Manager, Charles Anderson, was
very helpful in answering questions and showing us areas of
concern .at the mill.
During the visit the chip mill was not'in operation due
to power company imposing load controls. All areas of the
stormwater control and pollutant containment are ,well
operated and maintained. No record review was conducted
during the visit.
