When you see this one come in, can you let me know please? Thank you!!!!! From: Mark Lockman [mailto:mark.lockman@langtreegroup.coml Sent: Friday, August 05, 2011 11:27 AM To: Chapman, Amy Subject: RE: Catawba Variance application Amy, Thanks again for your guidance. I have attached the amended Variance Request Form. We plan to mitigate the minimal effect of the sign by planting a river birch in the area. I am mailing the original and two copies to your office as required. Please let me know as soon as possible if we are approved to go forward with this signage. Thank you for the application. You would need to account for the square feet of impact from the four or five poles in part 2 #2.. May be 50 sq ft or so. Then just mention what species of tree you will plant to offset the 50 or less sq ft of buffer impact. Other than that, it looks great. Please see attached the Variance Request Form, completed. I have filled in pertinent sections (by hand, pardon my lack of penmanship) and attached maps and plans. I didn't include any plans for mitigation plantings as I don't believe we will need to remove any vegetation. As I state in the form, we only want to sink five sign poles in an area of sparse vegetation. Please let me know if I misunderstand the intent. Otherwise, if you feel that this form is sufficient for your review, I will mail hardcopies to you immediately. Please let me know. You can skip all of pages 3 & 4. Attach a plat or sketch of the lake, the 50 foot buffer and where your sign will be. And let me know on the plan sheet what tree you'll plant and where you will plant it. Please let me know if you have any questions. You'll have to mail the application in to the 1650 mail service center address in my signature block. Once I get it, it won't take long to review at all.
