Ian,
To recap what I found today at the Page property: Upstream from impacted area was a stream in relatively good
condition. Substrate was rocky but with high embeddedness. Flowing water was absent from the channel but surface
water was found in one deep pool. The sweep net sample collected 1 fish species (not Gambusia), two larval
salamanders, two adult beetle species, red midges. Further investigation of rocks upstream produced a water penny
(Psephenidae) beetle. With the occurrence of fish, salamanders, and water pennies plus the geomorphological
characteristics I would label this stream as perennial despite the lack of flowing water. Please let me know if you have
any questions. Thanks
