I know every project is a little different, however this one is really being pushed. The push is stemming from the fact
that this road will be a main arterial into a very large new high school in Johnston County. With the recent publicity over
teen driver deaths in Johnston County, the surrounding road network around schools is really under the microscope now
more than ever. We are performing other improvement projects in the network, however paving of this road is pivotal.
It is appearing that we will be able to secure R/W within the next week or two, where we have not been able to in the
last couple of years. This is the reason in the shift in the road alignment and the reason we haven't sent furthered these
plans prior to now. Please do everything you canto expedite the`olOapproval on this project.
We are really being pushed to have this project complete by opening of school this fall.
