Box 1689 Etowah, NC 28729 Subject: Activities Deemed Certified Etowah Sewer Line - Streambank Stabilization DWQ Project # 11-0457 Henderson County FRB02 / Gash Creek / 6-47 / C Dear Mr. Kilpatrick: Dee Freeman Secretary The Division of Water Quality (Division) has completed the review of the 401 Water Quality Certification application associated with the project listed above. It has been determined that the subject project, approximately 90 linear feet of streambank stabilization near Tee Box #2 along Gash Creek, does not require written concurrence from the Division and is deemed certified, if the conditions required by Water Quality Certification No. 3689 are followed (attached). In addition, Etowah Sewer Company, Inc. should obtain or otherwise comply with any other required federal, state or local permits before proceeding with the project, including (but not limited to) Erosion and Sediment Control regulations. This letter completes the review of your application by the Division under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. If you have any questions, please contact Susan A.
