Subject: Correction to 401 Water Quality Certification 3852, NCDWQ Project No. 20100752
Dear Dr. Thorpe:
This letter is in regards to the Individual Water Quality Certification No. 3852 issued March 9, 2011.
Please note the changes to condition no. 5 listed below.
5. Compensatory mitigation for 803 linear feet of impact to streams in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin
and 454 linear feet in the New River Baskin is required. We understand that you have chosen to
perform compensatory mitigation for impacts to streams through the North Carolina Ecosystem
Enhancement Program (EEP), and that the EEP has agreed to implement the mitigation for the project.
EEP has indicated in a letter dated April 30, 2010 that they will assume responsibility for satisfying the
federal Clean Water Act compensatory mitigation requirements for the above-referenced project, in
accordance with the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Ecosystem
Enhancement Program In-Lieu Fee Instrument signed July 28, 2010.
Please keep a copy of this letter with the original certification. If we can be of further assistance, do not
