Subject: Revised Stormwater Permit Request for US 70 From Existing Four Lanes at Radio Island to US 70 North
of SR 1429 (Olga Road), Carteret County.

This is a revised submittal to the original Permit Request dated December 3, 2010. The revision consists of removing the
"filtration basin" and replacing with a grass swale that provides stormwater treatment for the castem end of the Gallants Channel
bridge. This submittal is not a complete submittal; it includes only the information for the grass swale
Attached to this letter are the following:
1. Two copies of the detail plan showing the grass Swale at the eastern end of the Gallants Channel bridge.
2. Revised Stormwater Management Plan (removed "filtration basin" and included a grass swale)
Please remove and discard your copy of the "Infiltration Basin Operation and Maintenance Agreement" for "BMP 2 (For
Filtration Basin)"
