Site inspection was conducted by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office on January 11, 2021. Reid
Whitehead and Jason Chastain were present during the inspection. The inspection was a follow up for a non-compliant
inspection conducted on December 14, 2020.
Sediment was removed from the jurisdictional stream at Station L 117+50 RT (Site 8). Remediation efforts are complete
and satisfactory. The following are items observed during the inspection that require attention:
- ~ Station L 179+50 RT (Site 14 Blair Creek) - Stabilize bank next to headwall to prevent sediment loss to the JS.
- ~ Station L 118+30 LT (Site 8) - Stabilize slopes above headwall.
- ~ Station L 79+00 & 83+00 - Removal any residual sediment trapped above coir logs in stream and remove all coir logs
from JS.
- ~ Station L 69+25 LT - Stabilize area between JS and silt fence.
