Dear Ms. Karoly,
Our office is in receipt of a letter dated February 27, 2006, requesting more
information for the above project. Each request is listed below with its response in
bold and italicized.
1. Please note that the proposed wet pond will have to be changed to a
constructed wetland.
The wet pond is now a constructed wetland Preliminary design
calculations and a preliminary grading plan are provided for reference.
2. Please provide a written description of any possible cumulative impact from
this project based on the cumulative impact policy on our website.
Per discussion with John Dorney of NC Division of Water Quality, a
narrative is provided that shows qualitatively that the proposed project
will not create cumulative impacts This qualitative analysis is based
upon "Draft Internal Policy, Cumulative Impacts and the 401 Water
Quality Certification and Isolated Wetland Programs'; NC Division of
Water Quality, October 3, 2002, Version 1.6.
