Subject: Courtesy notification for the use of a NW 3 & 13 request for pipe replacement and riprap
placement on NC 305, 0.24 miles south of SR 1118, in Hertford County.
This is a courtesy notification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the use of
a NW 3 & 13 permit for the replacement of a pipe and riprap placement on NC 305 in Hertford County.
The pipe is located 0.24 miles south of SR 1118 (36.27375, 77.15270). The existing pipes are I @ 24" x
44' Corrugated Metal Pipe and 1 @ 24" x 34' Ductile Iron Pipe. The pipes will be completely removed,
following NCDOT BMP's for pipe replacement. The proposed pipe is l @ 54" x 48' Reinforced Concrete
Pipe with riprap on both ends. The pipes are located in a UT to Ahoskie Creek, Class "C, NSW" waters.
Permit drawings and a topo map are included in this letter. If you need any additional information or have
