Director Division of Water Quality April 17, 2007 DWQ Project No. 06-0180 Watauga/Wilkes County Mr. Doug Miller Ginn-Laurel Creek GP, LLC 389 Little Laurel Road Extension Boone, North Carolina 28607 Re: Laurelmor Subdivision and Golf Course, Watauga/Wilkes County Swift Ford Branch [030701, 12-24-9, C Tr ORW] Dugger and Laurel Creeks [030701, 12-24-8, C Tr ORW] APPROVAL OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN Dear Mr. Miller: On June 12, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401 Water Quality Certification to impact to impact 6,331 linear feet of stream and 0.18 acre of wetland for the purpose of constructing the golf resort you described in your application dated February 2, 2006. In order to meet Condition 22 of the 401 Certification for this project, a revised stormwater management plan was submitted to the DWQ on February 20, 2007. A revised stormwater management plan was submitted to the DWQ on April 11, 2007. This Plan has been reviewed and satisfies the stormwater management conditions of the 401 Water Quality Certification. The structural stormwater practices as approved by DWQ as well as drainage patterns must be maintained in perpetuity. No changes to the structural stormwater practices shall be made without written authorization from the Division of Water Quality. Stormwater easements shall be recorded for a distance of at least 10 feet on each side of all stormwater conveyances on all lots containing these structures including future access for maintenance. The stormwater easements shall allow for the ability to maintain the structures, perform corrective actions as described above and shall provide protection of the structures from potential alternations by future property owners.
