Hi Brandee and Sue -
I have reviewed the information sent to me about the Wayne Farms Wastewater Effluent Line Replacement
project, which involves the impact of 25 ft of the Fisher River for the construction of a new river bed vented
wastewater outfall in Surry County. The project should not impact wild trout and a trout moratorium is not
needed for this project.
We recommend that the applicant slope the river bank, apply seed and matting, and plant native woody
vegetation where possible to better ensure bank stability. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to
review this project.
