In addition to this electronic submission, agency consultation was
initiated with the USACE and DWR via email on 11/19/2020.
We need to request a permit update for the site know as Shallowford
(fka Point at Elon), SAW-2018-01810, DWR #20190814 (see
attached). Upon finalization of project plans, it was determined the
original proposed bridge is not practicable due to safety requirements
and costs. In order to safely and affordably cross the stream,
including allowing for a required sidewalk, a culverted crossing will be
required.
The original permit included 98 linear feet (If) of permanent stream
impacts to Stream A and a bridged crossing of the stream flowing
generally north/south through the site.
Impact Maps are still in progress, but it is anticipated that the update
will eliminate impacts to Stream A, maintain the same or (if possible)
reduce wetland impacts, and increase permanent impacts to the main
stream to approximately 132-ft.
