Culvert outlet replacement project in Fayetteville, NC. Hybarts
Branch, a USGS named stream, is piped underneath the Bragg
Boulevard Flea Market and daylights on the southeastern side of the
property. The existing culvert has collapsed increasing scour and
erosion of the adjacent property. The proposed project would replace
the damaged culvert with one of larger diameter, place a plunge pool
immediately downstream of the outlet, remove debris caused by
repeated scour, and add stabilization measures along streambanks
to prevent further erosion of the Flea Market property. Pre -
Construction Notification may be required depending on final design
and would be submitted in early January 2021. Draft plans are
attached but subject to change as design is in progress.
