Pipe installation Process
SR 1152 (Parks McCorkle Road) is an unpaved secondary road that serves three
residences and a small Farm. Having to allow access for homeowners and first
responders and the fact that Parks McCorkle Road is a dead end road with no outlet, the
replacement of the existing CMP on Parks McCorkle Road will be completed in sections.
Bridge Maintenance will dam the creek with an impervious dike. This will allow for the
pumping of water through the existing pipe while the first section of overflow pipe is
being installed. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Once the first section
of overflow pipe is installed and back filled, traffic will be routed over the new section of
pipe so that the second section of overflow pipe maybe attached. Once the overflow
pipe is installed and back filled the process .will be repeated in order to replace the
existing CMP. Water will be pumped through the overflow pipe during the replacement
