Please give a brief project description below.
The project will involve removing a 10-foot tall dam to remove an
impoundment on a 400-LF reach of Big Creek near its headwaters.
The dam outlet structure failed earlier in 2020 and the owner would
prefer to remove the dam rather than repair the outlet structure. He
would like to extend an existing 48-inch culvert at the inlet to the pond
by 50 LF as a tradeoff for removing the dam and outlet culvert.

1. EXISTING 1-FOOT CONTOURS DEVELOPED FROM 2016/17 BARE EARTH LiDAR DATA OBTAINED FROM NC ONEMAR DATUM IS NAD 83.
2. EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES MUST BE INSTALLED, INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
3. ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE CLEANED REGULARLYAND MAINTAINED TO BE FREE OF FUEL, OIL AND LUBRICANT LEAKS.
4. FUELING SHALL BE PERFORMED AT LEAST 100 FEET FROM FLOWING WATER.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT SITE FEATURES, INCLUDING PAVEMENT AND BUILDINGS, BEYOND THE GRADING LIMITS. CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR ANY DAMAGE TO SITE
FEATURES TO PRE -PROJECT CONDITIONS.
6. A PUMP -AROUND FLOW DIVERSION SHALL BE USED TO DIVERT FLOW AROUND IN -STREAM WORK AREAS.
7. WORK SHALL BE STAGED SUCH THAT NO MORE STREAM BANK IS DISTURBED THAN CAN BE STABILIZED WITH SEED, MULCH AND MATTING AT THE END OF EACH WORKDAY
8. DISTURBED UPLAND AREAS MUST BE STABILIZED WITH SEED AND MULCH WITHIN 7 DAYS OF REACHING FINAL GRADES.
9. SILT FENCE SHALL BE INSTALLED ON THE STREAM SIDE OF ANY STOCKPILES.
10. LIVE STAKES SHALL BE INSTALLED DURING THE DORMANT SEASON, GENERALLY DECEMBER THROUGH MARCH.
