Mason Sent:Thursday, October 17, 2019 3:58 PM To:Shaver, Brad ; Steenhuis, Joanne Subject:Cameron Property Access Attachments:FigA_Beane_Cameron Access Map_TRH_191017.pdf; Cameron_Property_Access_Options - Div 3 Markups - 191015.pdf In the process of acquiring R-3300A R/W, the Division discovered that there is a 460 acre parcel, owned by the Cameron’s, adjacent to the Beane property that is land locked because the -L- line of the project cuts off their existing access road from Sidbury. This property is very expensive and the Division is trying to find a way to provide them new access and minimize the R/W claim. Attached are couple of maps that show options that we are considering, using the delineation for the project and Beane property delineation which is not verified. Per the attached map, the access from Farm Rd would be a combination of green and yellow which utilizes existing Farm Road’s deeded 60 ft. easement and existing soil roads/trails to their property line. The Cameron’s would prefer a separate and direct connection from Sidbury to the East of their property. Yellow utilizes the road system for a development that has been dormant for a while and pink utilizes the gas line easement. We looked an alignment further South but that would cross a significant natural management area and RCW habitat so we ruled that option out. We are also considering an service road parallel to the R-3300 -L- line that would tie to their existing access but impacts would be substantial. The typical for the service road would be 2 – 10 ft lanes with 2 ft shoulders. We are looking at getting the firm to flag jurisdictional areas that may be missing in these proposed corridors and provide us with some impact numbers. I just wanted to make you aware of the issue and see if you have any opinions on these alternatives or if you have any information that would be helpful in developing an access road to this parcel.
