In accordance with North Carolina General Statute 4 90A-37, the Water Pollution Control System Operators
Certification Commission is required to classify all Water pollution control systems. The Water Pollution Control
System Operators Certification Commission classified the subject facility on November 28, 2018 as a Grade I Physical
Chemical Water Pollution Control Treatment System (PC-1).
As required by Part II Section C.1.(a)&(b) of your NPDES Permit Standard Conditions for NPDES Permits, owners are
required to designate an Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and a backup ORC who possess a valid certificate of the
type and grade equivalent to the type and grade of the system. (15A NCAC 8G .0201(1) and (2)l. For this system you
must designate a Grade I or higher Physical Chemical Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and Back-up Operator.
These requirements are to be met 60 calendar days prior to wastewater or residuals being introduced into a new
system. (15ANCAC.0201(3)(a)L
