No. 04-034 Dear Mr. McMillan: The N.C. Division of Water Quality has requested additional information from the Town of Holly Springs for the Nationwide permit application referenced above. The additional information requested is to indicate whether wetland impacts will occur, and if so, to indicate on the drawings and quantify within the application. The proposed improvements within the Holly Springs Business Park Pump Station utility corridor include impacts to jurisdictional tributaries only. There are no proposed impacts to jurisdictional wetlands, open waters, or buffers as indicated in the PCN (Section C. La). The proposed improvements within the utility corridor will be limited to the selected tributary crossings only. These areas are all located within the maintained 40-ft utility easement corridor, and the impacts will be minimized to 14 linear feet within the 40-ft easement at each crossing. This represents the minimum width necessary to allow for emergency and maintenance vehicle access. The photographs below show the typical existing conditions within the utility easement corridor at the stream crossings. ¦ P.0 Box 33068 Raleigh, North Carolina 27636-3068 ¦ TEL 919 677 2000 FAX 919 677 2050 Response to Request for Information NCDWQ November 10, 2010 If there is any additional information you need to assist in the processing of this application, please do not hesitate to contact me at (919) 677-2121.
