The Animal Feeding Operations Program,of the Division of Water Resources(Division)has completed a
preliminary review of your application for permit modification regarding the planned innovative waste
management system for Farm 2037&2038.Additional information is required before we-may continue
our review.Please address and submit the following item(s)within 30(thirty)days of receipt of this
letter:
❑ Nutrient Utilization Plan—The Nutrient Utilization Plan dated December 10,2019 is missing the
signatures of both the owner and the technical specialist.Please obtain these signatures and
resubmit them along with the corresponding NUJ)for Our records.
O Operation&Maintenance Plan—The O&IVI plan needs to be updated to reflect the operation of
the anaerobic digester.We ask that this O&M plan clearly outlines the routine sludge
management and removal methods to be put into practice regarding the digester.Additionally,
please clearly indicate what method(s)of leak detection will be routinely practiced regarding the
digester.
❑ Digester Drawings-The dimensions of the key way trench differ between callouts 2, 3, &4 on
page C.3.4 of the digester drawings. Please:ainend the drawings with the true dimensions to be
used.
❑ Site Drawings—It is recommended that either a typical drawing detail or plan specification be
- - -- provided-for pipe crosings-hr the event that a waste-pipeline-crosses or runs in close proxiriiity to
an irrigation line or gas line.
Please reference the subject application number when providing the requested information.All revised
and/or additional documentation shall be signed, dated and sent to my attention at the address below.The
