Sue,
My understanding is they are already bending on the number of parking spaces. They are clearly opposed to the
dumpster location right at the front of the lot on such a main corridor in town especially since there is no room for a
landscaped screen. This new road is the main corridor into town and appearance standards are a big deal with the Town
of Boone. Also, the sidewalk is heavily used in this area and the alternative site next to the retaining wall is just not what
the Town or anybody wants right there. There have been many conversations with the town and most have resulted in
more hurdles for Mr. Helms. There seems to be little willingness to bend on this dumpster issue.
