The site appears to be doing fairly well after one growing season. Overall stem density is reported at 860 stems per acre, which exceeds the required density of 320 stems per acre. As reported, the planted stem density in Plot 2 was 283 stems per acre, which is significantly lower than the densities of the other plots. While the report states that with desireable volunteers the stem density in Plot 2 is 729 stems per acre, the area in the vicinity of Plot 2 merits diligent monitoring, and possibly some investigation into the low survival compared with other areas of the site. No action, other than monitoring of the area around Plot 2, is recommended at this time.
