SPILL RESPONSE NOTIFICATION PROCEDURE
According to the State, a reportable petroleum spill is any spill over 25
gallons or any spill (of any size) within 100 feet of surface waters. The
procedure outlined below should be followed immediately to notify
the appropriate officials in the case of a reportable petroleum spill.
II.Call the NC DENR emergency hotline at 1-800-858-0368 tol
report the spill.
2. Call your immediate supervisor to report the spill.
3. If necessary, notify the Apex Fire Department at 919-362-
4001.
�4. Call the Town Environmental Programs division (Steve Miller)
at 919-249-3357 to report the spill and to ensure Town j
compliance with State stormwater illicit discharge rules.
