The purpose of the proposed project is the existing permitted WWTP
bank-outfall was damaged by flooding. The existing outfall pipe
serves as the discharge point for treated effluent from the Wayne
Farms processing plant's WWTP. Propose to replace the former at -
bank discharge with a submerged effluent diffuser pipe in streambed
to protect theoutfall and promote mixing. However, NCDEQ and
USACE have been notified (seeattachment).
