Lee Energy Complex NCDEQ/DWR/NPDES Wayne County Dear Mr. Poupart: Duke Energy respectfully submits this letter to amend our existing NPDES application under which the plant currently operates.The amendment is to disclose the use of MobyFloc, see attached SDS. The product is a flocculant Duke Energy intends to use in our truck wash system to remove ash prior to ash hauling to the Beneficiation STAR unit. The truck wash is located within the 1982 ash basin. Please include this with the relevant permit files. Based on discussion, it is our understanding that with this modification to the existing permit application, no permit modification would be necessary and Duke is authorized to utilize this additive.
