I think we talked about this one back in August or so, but just to refresh your memory ... this project encompasses the portion of LSC Greenway that is immediately adjacent to the CIVIC Main Campus in Dilworth. 100% of the project is greenway replacement/temporary impacts, driven by the failing gabion walls beneath the existing LSC Greenway. Any widening of the greenway will occur landward, so no new stream bed impacts are proposed. Culverts are not proposed; however, they are proposing to construct a new bridge south of the existing Medical Center Drive bridge and remove the existing bridge: Bridge abutments will be placed well beyond the banks of LSC and no work in the stream channel is proposed. Riprap will be placed along the abutments only. A temporary in -channel stream diversion using either a stacked sandbag barrier or jersey barrier method is proposed to allow for construction in the dry as illustrated on sheet C-804 of the erosion control plans. Let me know if you need any additional information.
