Please reference your application for a Department of the Army (DA) individual permit to
authorize the impact of 100 linear feet (0.035 acres) of fill within the perennial stream channel
for the construction of an earthen dam, the excavation of 3,670 linear feet of perennial stream
channel and adjacent uplands, and the impact by flooding of an additional 2,107 linear feet of
waters of the United States associated with the construction of a 23 acre irrigation lake, located
within Worthington Farms at 3661 Ballards Crossroads Road, near the city of Greenville, Pitt
County, North Carolina. The purpose of this correspondence is to inform you that by letter
dated September 10, 2010, we received comments from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources
Commission regarding their review of the public notice on your application.
It is Corps policy to provide an applicant the opportunity to furnish a proposed resolution or
rebuttal to all objections from government agencies and other substantive adverse comments
before a final decision is made on a proposed project. Accordingly, please provide any
comments that you have on this matter within 21 days of your receipt of this correspondence.
