Ian,
There is not nearly enough information in the file to evaluate the SWMP. Here are
some bullets:
Pursuant to the requirements in Water Quality General Certification 3631 for
Nutrient Sensitive Waters, the DWQ shall require that extended detention wetlands,
bioretention areas or ponds followed by forested filter strips (designed according
to the latest version of the NC DENR stormwater Best Management Practices Manual) be
constructed as part of the stormwater management plan. In order to receive
approval for the NC 42 East project, all of the drainage from the proposed
development must be treated by one of the above BMPs.
In the resubmittal for this project, please include complete calculations and plans
for all aspects of each of the proposed stormwater management devices. In addition,
please include an appropriate DWQ worksheet for each of the proposed BMPs. The DWQ
worksheet will list the additional information that must be included with the
submittal. These worksheets are available on the DWQ web site at:
http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/regcert.html.
Please note that the DWQ BMP Manual does not allow the use of more than one forebay
in a single stormwater BMP.
