Happy Holidays to you both! Thanks, Lori From: Hining, Kevin J <kjhining@ncdot.gov> Sent: Thursday, December 10, 2020 10:10 AM To: Beckwith, Loretta A CIV USARMY CESAW (USA) <Loretta.A.Beckwith@usace.army.mil>; Wanucha, Dave <dave.wanucha@ncdenr.gov> Subject: \[Non-DoD Source\] Division 11 project photos Lori and Dave, I’m primarily just shooting you an email to say hey and to check in with you. But, I also wanted to let you know that given all the safety issues with Covid-19, I’ve been taking as many photos as I can of individual bridge projects, as well as photos of all of our permit sites on the larger roadway projects (R-2915, for example). So, if there are ever any projects/permit sites that you would like to check in on, I’m more than happy to meet you on site, but could also just send you some updated photos if you prefer. Speaking of the R-2915 project – the A, B, and C sections are pretty much complete, and all three sections are now open to 4 lanes of traffic. However, the contractor for the C section has to return in the spring to do a final layer of pavement. After Dave reviewed the A and B sections, I went through the C section on my own and put together a punch list of issues at the permitted sites (32 sites total). Most were fine, but we are having the contractor do a few additional tasks at some of the sites. Those issues that can wait or are a potential moratorium issue will be completed in the spring when they return for the final paving. Given that all the nice green vegetation has dried up due to the onset of winter weather, and the recent Covid spikes, I’m assuming you would prefer to wait till warmer weather for an actual site visit of the C portion of R-2915. But, I can 1 put that together whenever you prefer, and/or more than happy to send you photos of anything particular that you might want to check in on in the meantime. Dave – you had a couple permit sites that you made recommendations on during your R-2915 A and B review. I’ll get you photos of those corrected sites soon. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
