This site is currently undeveloped. The site is being developed as a single family
residential development. The property currently drains roughly east to west, with the
east side of the development draining toward Wade -Stedman Road and the west side of
the development draining away from Wade -Stedman Road. The proposed subdivision
will utilize vegetated roadway ditching to convey runoff through the site. The west side
of the development will discharge runoff off -site through grassed swales. The east side
of the development will discharge runoff into an infiltration basin adjacent to Wade -
Stedman Road. If overflow the basin occurs, this overflow will drain into the roadway
ditching along Wade -Stedman Road.
The site meets the qualifications of a low density development. The average density for
the development is 0.86 units/acre compared to the maximum of 2 units/acre to satisfy
the requirements set forth by NCDEQ. New paved roads are to be constructed for the
subdivision.
Based on our study and review of the NCDEQ BMP manual and NC Session Law 2006-
246 Section 9 paragraph c, Barrington Place Subdivision meets and/or exceeds the
requirements and intent for low density development.
