REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Ward:
On July 26 2010, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your CAMA application to construct a dry stack
storage facility with a marina clubhouse, driveway, parking lots, pedestrian access pier, travel lift pier, floating
docks, and a bulkhead waterward of the existing boat ramp. The DWQ has recently become aware that the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers has determined that this project will require an Individual Permit. Please note that the
following will be required prior to issuance of a 401 Water Quality Certification:
1. The 401 Certification cannot be processed until a copy of the Corps of Engineers Public Notice for this
project is received at the central office in Raleigh. No action is required on your part. The Corps of
Engineers will forward the Public Notice to the DWQ when it is published.
Until the information requested in this letter is provided, we will request (by copy of this letter) that the Corps of
Engineers place this project on hold. Also, this project will be placed on hold for our processing due to incomplete
information (15A NCAC 2H.0507(h)). Thank you for your attention. If you have any questions, please contact Ian
