I will get you the answers to questions 1-3 as soon as I can. As you and I discussed on Tuesday
have the post construction stormwater plans and was going to send them to you with the additional
information we were getting for the permit mod. Would you rather me go ahead and send you the
stormwater information now?

I have a few questions regarding the Yadkin River Bridge project. I'm copying Kent for his records.
1. How will the bridge piles and bents be installed?
2. How is the contractor defining hand clearing? I know we discussed this in the meeting, but
need something in writing. Please include what types of equipment will be used to remove
trees. Also include what measures will be taken to minimize soil compaction.
3. Also, the 401 will require turbidity curtains for all pile driving and drilling activities that occur in
or immediately adjacent to the river. If they don't plan on using these, we will need to know
what they propose in writing, prior to issuing the permit application.
4. Finally I still need the post construction stormwater plans for this section of the project (both
road approaches and bridges).
