Provide in those checklists whether leachate was observed, the condition of the area being observed, any damage from rain events and any repair work needed, how it was repaired and when the repair was performed. Any changes made in problem areas in response to repeated issues should be documented and contain as much detailed as possible. I hope this helps, stay safe Thad Valentine Environmental Senior Specialist Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Phone: (919) 791-4220 FAX: (919) 571-4718 Email: thad.valentine(a-)-ncdenr.gov Physical Address: 3800 Barrett Drive Raleigh, NC 27609 Mailing Address: 1612 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC e,-o- D,E QIA R*F9-"MM M W EIMNMIM7a1 U-11ky Email correspondence to and from this address is subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law and may be disclosed to third parties From: KAREN COPELAND<apexnurseriesinc@gmail.com> Sent: Monday, November 30, 2020 1:53 PM To: Garcia, Lauren V<lauren.garcia@ncdenr.gov> Cc:will copeland <wrcapex@gmail.com>;Valentine,Thad <thad.valentine@ncdenr.gov>;Vinson, Scott <scott.vinson@ncdenr.gov> Subject: [External] Apex Nurseries, INC External email. I just want to clarify, if I create our own Weekly Log (because I assume there is no log or template for us to go by)for Will to check off at the end of each week, that log needs to verify that: 1. All mulch piles have been inspected. 2. All Outfalls have been inspected. 3. All streams around the yards have been inspected. 4. Verify we have or had not had rain that week. 5. Inspecte all buffer areas and vegetated. 6. If Any Mulch Color totes are on site, they are inspected. 7. Inspect all equipment for any leaks. 8. Note any Yard improvements Scott and Will did talk about before Thanksgiving and Will has been making weekly inspections of the yards and has been making improvements to all 3 yards but I just want to make sure we are recording everything correctly, in a weekly log. Are they any templates or examples of what other businesses have used in the past? Thank you for any insight/ help you can provide Karen D. Copeland Apex Nurseries, INC (919) 362-8315 2
