REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Hedrick:
On July 14, 2010, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your CAMA Major Permit
dated July 12, 2010 regarding your request to modify a multi-slip docking facility, relocate kayak
rack, and construct a new boardwalk. The DWQ has determined that your application is
incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will
require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected
wetland, streams and/or buffers on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the
additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your
application as required by 15A NCAC 2H.0506 and 213 .0233(8) and will place this
project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide
the following information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Avoidance and Minimization
In accordance with NCAC02B .0233 (6) the construction of the proposed boardwalk
along the bulkhead is a prohibited activity unless side-to docking is existing along
the bulkhead. If side-to docking exists the boardwalk is permissive.

the riparian buffers before this project can be permitted by this Office.
Please respond in writing to the DWQ within 30 days of receipt of this letter with the
requested information. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we will assume that
you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as withdrawn.
