Erin Davis Please give a brief project description below.* The Bridgefork Dairy Mitigation Site in Cleveland County, NC. The Site proposes to provide 10,994 warm stream credits and 2.103 wetland credits for the specified service area. The project will involve restoration, enhancement, and preservation of nine unnamed tributaries (Bridgefork Creek, UT1, UT2, UT3, UT4, UT4A, UT5, UT6, and UT6A) as well as wetland re-establishment and wetland rehabilitation. The Site includes an active cattle farm, hay pasture, horse boarding pastures, and wooded and partially wooded incised streams. This project will improve water quality and ecology through riparian buffer reestablishment, stream and habitat restoration, exclusion of livestock, restoration of wetlands, the installation of two Best Management Practices (BMPs), and the removal of an existing farm pond. This work will result in a decrease in nutrient and sediment loads from the Site and improve aquatic and terrestrial habitat. The post -contract IRT meeting is scheduled for 12/16.
