The Division of Environmental Management received your letter dated February 26, 1990
requesting modifications to the subject permit. The Division is hereby denying your request to
reduce the monitoring requirement from twice per month to once per month for pH and oil and
grease. A reduction in monitoring frequency will not be allowed until at least one year of data has
been received and reviewed by the Division. If the data is acceptable after one year, you may then
request a reduction in monitoring frequency.
If this decision is unacceptable to you, you have the right to an adjudicatory hearing upon
written request within thirty (30) days following receipt of this letter. This request must be in the
form of a written petition, conforming to Chapter 150B of the North Carolina General Statutes,
and filed with the Office of Administrative Hearings, Post Office Drawer 11666, Raleigh, North
Carolina, 27604. Unless such a demand is made, this decision shall be final and binding.
