RE: DWQ Project No. 02-1418
Stormwater Management Plan
Pinnacle Point Development, Charlotte, NC
GNA DESIGN ASSOCIATES, INC.
WETLANDS / 401 GROUP
JAN 0 7 2004
'VAfER QUALI', y SECTION
In follow-up to our telephone conversation on the morning of January 6, 2004, concerning the
proposed pond relocation for the Pinnacle Point development in Charlotte, NC, a copy of the Corps
of Engineers 404 permit establishing the 25 ft wetland buffers at the Pinnacle Point (formerly
Mallard Creek) property is attached. The wetland buffer zones have been enforced by City of
Charlotte plan reviewers and site inspectors as "no-disturbance" areas.
The rip rap apron that has been provided at the pond outlet has been designed in accordance with
NCDENR guidelines for energy dissipation and erosion protection as set forth in the "Erosion and
Sediment Control Planning and Design Manual." If DWQ requires that the rip rap apron be
extended across the buffer zone to the limit of the established wetland, then we request a written
directive stating such for submittal to the City of Charlotte.
Thank you for your assistance.
