Subject: Salem Lake PCN DWQ#2010-0630
Dear Sue,
This is a follow-up to the phone message I just left for you regarding the Salem Lake Dam PCN.
have a slight clarification to make in the PCN: On page 6, section 4 (open water impacts) the
second line under block 4c currently reads "impounded, expanded lake pool" - referring to 0.04
acre of the existing stilling pool between the old dam and the new dam. There will also be some
rock and concrete fill placed in this area between the dams for stability, so a more accurate
description for this block would be: " impounded, expanded lake pool, plus rock and concrete fill"
Let me know if you need this PCN page revised, or if there's any other issues that need further
information or clarification. The City is in a hurry to put this project out for construction bids,
and we appreciate your prompt and thoughtful review of this project.
Sincerely,
Gerald Pottern
