From: Gerald Pottern [mailto:gpottern@dgacarolina.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 2010 3:35 PM To: Homewood, Sue Cc: John Thomas; Thomas Fitzgerald Subject: Salem Lake PCN DWQ#2010-0630 Dear Sue, This is a follow-up to the phone message I just left for you regarding the Salem Lake Dam PCN. have a slight clarification to make in the PCN: On page 6, section 4 (open water impacts) the second line under block 4c currently reads "impounded, expanded lake pool" - referring to 0.04 acre of the existing stilling pool between the old dam and the new dam. There will also be some rock and concrete fill placed in this area between the dams for stability, so a more accurate description for this block would be: " impounded, expanded lake pool, plus rock and concrete fill" Let me know if you need this PCN page revised, or if there's any other issues that need further information or clarification.
