Hi Erin,
For our purposes, the information you submitted is sufficient for this minor revision.
The USACE has no objections to NCDOT conducting the additional 19 linear feet of bank stabilization on Sparks Creek
under the NWP verification for this project (SAW-2020-00298), as described below and in the attached drawing.
Please ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with the special conditions of the NWP verification letter for this
project, and with all applicable NWP general and regional conditions.
Thank you,
Lori

Subject: \[Non-DoD Source\] BR-0126 impact revision
Lori and Dave,
There has been a slight revision to the impacts associated with BR-0126, the replacement of Bridge 667 on SR 1749 over
Sparks Creek in Wilkes County.
1
Due to drainage concerns from the bridge replacement from the property owner of Parcel 4, the Division requested a
change to include a ditch along the road on their property. Drainage will still be maintained within the currently shown
right-of-way with some additional temporary construction easement needed. This change results in 19 linear feet of
stream bank stabilization to Sparks Creek at the outlet of this new ditch. However, this new 19 linear feet of bank
stabilization is directly across the creek from the 21 linear feet of bank stabilization at the other ditch outlet that has
already been permitted, which does not increase the total linear feet of Sparks Creek impacted.
I have attached revised permit drawings showing the updated design. We also completed a DWR pre-filing meeting
request form to cover our bases (attached).
Please let me know if this email is not sufficient documentation of this revision and you need more formal documentation
for your records.
Thanks!
