It is also in response to a telephone conversation that you and I had a couple of weeks ago. It has taken us some time to conduct the additional field work and surveying as necessary. Revised documents are attached as stated at the bottom of this letter. Responses to the list of additional information are listed below according to the stated letter and have been addressed according to our telephone conversation: Topographic lines are now shown on the stormwater plan. These topographic lines were shown in our calculations as initially submitted for delineation of drainage areas. As we discussed, these lines may clutter the plan somewhat; but you should be able to make out the general topography. Note that it has been stated on the original plan and this revised plan that these lines are taken from County topography (2-ft contours). Some field adjustment may be required to fit site-speafic conditions. Also, to help verify any site-specific conditions, the surveyor has provided survey data along the grass swale. As expected and as the detail on our plans show, the cross-section of this swale may require excavation on the high side and filling on the low side as this ditch runs along the contour of the moderate slope on the lot. Also, as the contours show, this moderate slope on the lot becomes much more mild at the level spreader, making the location of the level spreader very conducive to sheet flow velocities through the buffer. Also note the photographs provided as requested in Item #4 below; 2. As mentioned above and as we discussed over the phone, my drainage area delineation was provided with topographic lines in the original calculations. If you reference this delineation in the initial calculations, it should indicate that some area is included from the adjacent culdesac and most of the runoff from Lot 30 is directed to the back of that lot instead of onto Lot 31. This was verified by field observation as well; 3. As we discussed it does appear that the 30% impervious was based on percentage of the entire lot instead of the actual drainage area. Therefore, a revised impervious area of 60% has been utilized for the drainage area. This did not sign~cantly increase the final discharge calculation and did not impact any of the grass swale or level spreader design. The revised hydrology and grass swale hydraulic calculations are provided in this submittal; 4. As we discussed, our application was submitted prior to the adoption of the revised level spreader design. I do not disagree with your strong recommendation to install the newer level spreaders. However, these devices are more costly than the earthen spreaders and in the interest of feasibility, we would prefer to utilize the design criteria that applied for our application package.
