PCN Application
Dewberry Project No. 50022492
Dear Ms. Chapman:
Enclosed are five copies of a Pre-Construction Notification (PCN) Application Form, site location
map, plan sets, and a permit processing fee of $475, for the project: Wallingford Drive Sanitary Sewer
Relocation.
The Wallingford Drive Sanitary Sewer Relocation project abandons approximately 192 feet of sanitary
sewer in Zone 1 and relocates the sanitary sewer into a new easement outside the Neuse River Buffer
Zone 1. A sanitary sewer bypass ("pump-around") will be installed using pumps, flexible hose, and
generators. Conventional construction equipment (trackhoes, dump trucks, trench box) will be used
for the installation. Sediment control devices will be installed.
Please call with any questions regarding this permit application.
Sincerely,

D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1 a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
Project abandons approximately 192 linear feet of sanitary sewer in Zone 1 (3,840 sq feet of permanent buffer impact) and
relocates the sanitary sewer into a new easement into Zone 2 of the Neuse River Buffer. .
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
Erosion control devices will be installed prior to construction. All construction will take place within existing easement, stream
crossing will be conducted "in the dry". The disturbed area will be stabilized by seeding and mulching immediately after
completion.
