Please give a brief project description below.
Wake County Parks and Recreation has acquired the land and is in the
design process for Beech Bluff Park, located in SE Wake County on NC 42
about 2 miles east of Willow Springs. Beech Bluff is being designed as a
nature and agricultural demonstration park, with an education center, trails
and demonstration/community gardens. There will also be several areas
where native prairies and longleaf pine will be restored. Total acreage of
the park is currently about 300 acres, however the current project is Phase
I of the park's long-term development plan, and encompasses about 125
acres. There is no current schedule for Phase 2. The conceptual design
has already been discussed by the designer, Surface 678 and the natural
resources consultant Biohabitats, Inc. We would like to request the pre -
filing meeting request, to go over the wetland stream and buffer impacts
again, and finalize that conversation before submitting the PCN.
Please give a couple of dates you are available for a meeting.
